Founded in 1996, Danish Malting Group A/S is the largest Danish malting plant and one of the most modern companies operating in this line of business in the world. Annual production output amounts to 145,000 tons of barley which corresponds to 120,000 tons of manufactured malt. DMG is situated in Ørslev, close to Vordingborg in the southern part of Zealand island with the surface of 64,000 square meters.
The malt produced here is delivered to breweries in Denmark, Scandinavian countries as well as countries located on the Baltic coast, Russia, Portugal and is also exported to other countries in the world (in South America and Asia).

Responsibility for the natural environment constitutes a crucial element of DMG A/S activities. Using the newest technologies and a sophisticated control system, the company strives to reduce the number of utilities necessary to manufacture malt cutting the use of fresh water and energy as well as the amount of generated sewage.
DMG owns one of the largest plants in Denmark which produces thermal energy (Co-Generation) in which natural gases are used not only to generate heat but also electricity along with a high efficiency of the used fuel acquired.
Since February 2004 DMG has boasted ISO 14001 certificate of the environmental management.
