Słodownia Strzegom Sp. z o.o. has been a part of one of the world’s leaders in the malt industry - Danish Malting Group A/S since 2004.

The Group overall annual production capacity including the malting plant in Sierpc amounts approximately to 250,000 tons of malt. Słodownia Strzegom after having been modernized in various aspects reached the annual production capacity of approximately 12,000 tons and is currently employing 33 people. The original, over 100-year-old Galland and Lind systems still operate making it possible for fully-fledged malt manufacturers to produce small but unique quality batches of pilsner, Munich, caramel and black malt.
Spring and winter malting barley is used as the raw material. It is grown using carefully selected varieties recommended by us and purchased mainly in Lower Silesia from local farmers. This Polish region is noted for excellent soils and a specific microclimate which make it possible to obtain perfect raw material for the production of malt. The warehousing facilities built recently for the needs of the malting plant of the capacity of 20,000 tons of barley enable the purchase and storage of grain in appropriate conditions for as long as 12 months. This ensures own supply of the raw material for production for the whole season.
